I was interviewed! Do you wanna be, too?
It is nice to find oneself, at the opposite end of an interview – for once, or twice.
So I told Noemi I wanted to be interviewed when she asked. (This is actually some sort of mutated meme – passed on to Noemi , in turn to me … thence to you! )
Here are the questions Noemi sent me:
1. A a blogger you have been described as bubbly, perky, funny, quirky. How do your real life friends describe you? Is there a difference between your online and real life persona? – Bubbly , perky, funny are what I have always wanted to be but am not but which I could fake online because of all the editing and re-editing opps blogging allows. So what starts off as ‘corny” can be worked out to be “funny.” I don’t think anyone ever goes about wanting to be quirky. So I guess I really do have more than my fair quota of quirks, most of them innocuous. I suppose if you ask my real world friends, they might say I am someone who tries and occasionally succeeds to be funny, bubbly and perky. But they would also probably say that I can be moody and quiet and mahirap ispelengin (quirky na nga) and they might excuse that for my being “a writer.” 2. A frequently-asked question when I used to work in your office was “what is the best business that I can start?” Are you often asked that question, and what is your response or advice? I handle communication and publication there and so, yes, I am constantly asked that question. So I have more or less put together an answer that often disappoints those who ask. I tell them: IT DEPENDS. Depends on who they are (their training, experience, interests) and where they are (the resources and market that exists in a given province, city, or town). When is also relevant – which refers to the state of the economy , the quickness of responding to opportunities, and all that blah. (For more on this, you might wish to check my new site, http://plugging4smallbusiness.com/. And that, my friends, is a stealthy infomercial.) 3. If you had the magical power to concoct a potion for the “joints beginning to creak” or the newly old, what would that be? Explain your concoction in detail. Hmmmm lemme see … I have all these on my dresser, in various stages of unuse, compliments of well meaning friends and relatives : a jar of Oil of Olay, a bottle of Riche Creme, packets of emu oil, and a pint of virgin coconut oil. I guess I’d mix them all together and pray hard over the resulting concoction. and ask those who will use it to pray as hard, too -- before they discover a fine print that says it probably won’t work. And I am not contradictory, just quirky. 4. You say “Pinoys are easy to spot (in online scrabble). They like to use give-away names. What Pinoy (scrabble) name would you choose or suit you? I have used “Pipinay” and “Anamanila” before, so these are out because I am also quirky in the sense I don’t wanna repeat myself. Hmmm … maybe “‘Kakabakaba” (contracted into Kkbkb) for what I used to feel when I played scrabble or ‘Bababa-ba” (Bbbb) for the direction my scrabble rating tends to take these days. 5. What is the most memorable word formed in a scrabble game which gave you the highest score ever? Hmmm ... and I thought no one would ask me this question while I still walk the earth. I formed ‘HAWKINGS” sometime last year for 213 points! It is a double triple word and a bingo (plus 50 points), with the K on a double letter, an A (APE) already in place. I almost fainted when I saw how much it was worth and I think my opponent did faint for a minute.
Noemi’s e-mailed interview questions concluded with “Enjoy!” Did I?
Well, I had a draft within the half hour of starting it, as I chuckled and my chair teetered
Now, do YOU want to be interviewed? I promise interesting, "very you” questions – almost as interesting and “very me” as the set Noemi made for me. Interview rules:1. Leave me a comment saying “Interview me.”2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someoneelse in the same post.5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Interview me please. Ain't I courageous? Hehe.
Abaniko!
Awright! I will email u the Qs tomorrow at latest.
Is it abaniko8888@yahoo.com?
I had fun .. you will too. :)
Auee!
I never went near 100 points again for a word let alone 200. Ay, I would never forget the feeling when that word went in (not even sure it was a good word).
You wanna be interviewed! Awww! Atta girl. Brace yourself while you wait for my Qs. Joke.
Me, me, pick me. I just answered one blog to interview me. But i'd like to answer yours too , so hey that's 2 posts for me. I'd be happy to know what you have in store for me. Creative ka kasi. muniblog@gmail.com
Bbbb? that's a cool name. And I'd say its mostly because you chat a lot that's why your score is starting to go down.
Hawkings...hmmn. I hope i'd be lucky to get those letters in my tiles one day. I'll shoot for 200 points lang naman.
I got a kick reading the replies to my interview. Haha and I did enjoy formulating those questions. Oh my gosh, those scrabble points. I loved how you got 215 points. WOW.
Annamanila, my email address has only three 8's. Anyway, will wait for your questions and I hope they're neither too profound nor too personal. Might have difficulty answering them. Haha.
And in my excitement to be interviewed, I forgot to comment about your post. Hehe. You're correct about the Filipino names in ISC. My second handle as you know is very Pinoy. I hope we can play face-to-face one day and enjoy scrabble for hours over coffee (for you) and beer (for me). :D
Leah!
I will, I will. My honor, Ms. Leahofmumford!
Pwede nga palang umulit, ano? Teka ...
Noemi!
Now that I am formulating questions, I have the sneaking feeling it is easier to answer than to ask. hahaha Pero enjoy pa din! And it gives me the opportunity to really get to know buddies well. :)
Thanks ... teka pwede bang mag-second helping? Joke.
Abaniko!
Ay kaya pala nagbounce back kagabi ang email ko. Will resend .. but hmmm ... maybe I need to revise ... sobrang pagkapersonal eh ... hehe. Joke ha. Pero I just thought of some better ones. :)
Both your handles are Pinoy sounding, don't you think?
Hi annamanila! I had so much fun reading this. You ARE funny, don't you think so?
My ISC handle- nobody would ever guess I am Pinoy. Wow, 213 could well be my average score. haha
Abaniko, let's have that face-to-face-to-face tiling match soon! (now, ain't I courageous?? LOL)
Anna, i bought cold pressed virgin oil after you told me about it in one of my posts. i mix it with rice. it is actually better tasting than flax oil.
213 points!!! did you end up winning the game?
Please interview me, pero wag po mahirap ha? Hehehe!
hrhrhrhr interview me please! you know my e-add na. btw..no hifaluting (tama ba spelling ko madam? hehe)words ha..baka di ko maintindihan hahaha
Chateau!
How come you don't wanna be interviewed? Oh, you have been taken? By Sexy Mom? Yup, she was quicker than I was. hehe
Funny? I bet you are funnier. Well, soon, magkakabistuhan na.
That score happens once in every player's life. Watch out for your turn. :)
Belle!
Talaga, nice to know that it might be working for you. My stomach couldn't take VCO ... but my skin can ... but I doubt that anything has happened when i used it.
Did I win the game? How could I lose ... so lucky that day.
Mitchteryosa!
Oooh ... goodie-goodie. I will have to look into mitchtery. Sounds exciting.
Basta wait ha -- your set of Qs will come. Did you give me your email? Blogspot doesn't record emails? Or I just don't know how?
Verna!
Hirap naman gusto mong ipagawa sa akin. High fallutin is my trademark. Basta, gumamit ka na lang ng dictionary. hrhrhr
me me me! hehe, i checked this post last night and wala pa commenters, ngayon 18 na agad! dapat di na pala ako nahiya mauna magcomment. anna, you're a supahstar! :)
Hi Gibbs. Ooohlala ... I get to interview the PDI ed. This is better than it gets ha. (wait ka lang dyan ha .. pila ka muna hehe).
18 comments, half of which I wrote?!
Hey, Gibbs, if you networked half as much as I do, you'll have more buddies tha you can perhaps handle. haha! Kawpa.
I read this blog yesterday and last night I've been thinking of the word HAWKINGS! Bakit kaya ? ;-)Swerteng-swerte naman. I'd say the odds of that happening is 1/at least 500,000!
I enjoyed reading these bits about you, Anna. I did hop over to your other blog (biz) and did some reading too.
I've been thinking....should I agree to the interview...no..yes..no...What the heck, sige na nga. You can send me the questions when you have the chance, I'll get a ticket for my turn.
Gina!
A copy of that game has been saved in isc. Do you want to look at it? Please say you do. haha
Finger juliet, click library, scroll down to the game between gibran (that's me) and wordflower .. you will see HAWKINGS in all its glory sa top left triple spot. Pero, mas maraming mas mataas sa score dun .. meron yatang abot 300.
Awww you wanna be interviewed. My privilege. Thanks for being willing to wait. haha .. kahiya naman sa yo kung basta basta question.
I also hesitated when I read Noemi ... but well, I am glad I asked to be interviewed.
no, no, no - you would be surprised! chats did not ask for an interview. charming chats must have been traumatized with Noemi's concocted questions.
chats -- do ask, it's fun, though you would tend to say, "next question, please".
take Annamanila's quirky answers seriously, knowing her, they're true, true and true.
wow! 213 is impressive! does online scrabble keep a record of their highest scorers? that must be in the books.
Hi Anna, I'll go out on a limb here and ask you to interview me(haven't asked anyone for something like this in my life); if only to find out what sort of questions you'd want me to answer. :) I'll post them in my blog of course.
fence.sitter@yahoo.com
Hi Ms Anna,
hmmm, being interviewed by someone as formidable as you is a challenge I will not back away from, hehe.
Fire away, Ms. Anna.
Let's see you make me blush. haha.

Fire away, Ms. Anna.
Let's see you make me blush. haha.
Sexy Mom!
I understand why you had a tough time. That was really putting you on the spot(light). Many of those questions I may also ask, in Noemi's place ... irresistible baga. haha But you did very well Dine. Your answers are worthy of .. who else .. sexy mom! Congrats. Sa poem pa lang ... galing talaga.
You do romance the keyboard.
Fence!
Awww. Another chance to really get to know a new blog buddy. But you please be patient with me .. this may take one or two days. I got a backlog of questions lol. Am so pleasantly surpised so many want to be put on the spot(light). haha.
Faith!
I think it will take a lot too make you blush. So I consider myself challenged. hahaha Thanks, saya. dami kong iinterviewihin -- including the low profile, publicty-shy Atty. Kim. Omg, i got to make this good.
ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ASKED!
Abaniko and Auee: have emailed you your questions. Waiting to be knocked out by your answers. haha.
Leah, Mitch and Verna: I should be able to send your set of Qs tonight -- maybe late tonight. I have begun Leah's based on what I know of her .. without going to her archiVes. hehe
Fence and Faith: Making your Qs would be my dessert tomorrow after dinner.
Gibbs!
Yung sa iyo .. that will take some doing. hehe
Mitchteryosa and Gina!
Yours are coming too.
Ay naku ... nagkagulo gulo na. Dami ko namiss. Ay basta I should have been done with all Qs on or before Saturday. Please bear with me. Ito kasing friend ko dito, nagpapaedit ng dissertation nya. Wrong timing. tsk.
ngayon lang ako nakarinig ng 213 points :)
pass muna ako sa interview, am. i was interviewed by noemi, kinarir ko. at eto, pagod na pagod na ako, ni wala akong ma-blog :D
Lady Cess!
For a moment I was scared you wanna be interviewed too. JOKE! So finished ka na. Would love to read your answers. But let me finish one set of Qs first. So we're now in same bus of formulating questions? Di biro ano? Am making a career out of it too. :)
Help!
I need emails of those who wanna be interviewed. If you have sent me, then disregard this.
TY TY
Anna, Dine: I do want to be interviewed.. It's just that I imagined how hectic it would be for anna to formulate Qs for the long line! And then I imagined myself in her shoes ... (as if may pipila! haha)
Okay, interview me please!
Chateau!
Awww ... I think I am getting the hang of it now. See, I finished four sets already. So, fall in line na. lol
Was a bit stressed at first .. but I think it was because I had this 300-page thingie to edit and ahora y mismo. But I have put that behind me.
See you tmrw .. oh am kind of jittery. LOL
Thank you po sa questionnaire! I just posted my answers at talaga namang natuliro ako hehehe!
My answers are up, Annamanila. Check mo na lang. :)
Wish you interview me about Fine Art of Blogging.
Oh great! Have checked out your posts and have commented.
Ty for the privilege.
Diogenes!
Am sorry my friend, that is not how 'interview me' works. I have to choose the topic and the questions.
Let me know if you still want to join on those terms.
Don't worry my questions won't bite. haha
Dear Annamanila,
I have just been interviewed by Rachel. I am willing to be interviewed by you too (I had a lot of fun doing it and I think two or three more wont hurt). Hope you won't give me a hard time and have me ponder for long.
Yours,
julie@teacherjulie.com
Teacher Julie!
As I write this half my mind is already formulating not-for-teahers questions for teacher Julie Joke.
I only have 3-4 backlogs now ... so your set should cone in a few. Few what .. i dunno. LOL Bear with this buddy ha .. gone slow with age eh ... haha At latest tmrw okay?
Wow! 213 points! That's a lotta points for one word, tita! :)
I enjoyed reading this interview of yours. Naaliw ako! :)
Anna! hahaha! You are now deluged with interview wannabes!
Sasha!
That is why I wanted to kiss Noemi for asking me that question. Chance di ba? haha
Yup, I got so aliw answering the Qs.
Rhodora!
I don't see why not .. just don't publish the instruction and don't ask them to post "interview me."
Kilala mo ba si R? Ay, paano? hehehe
me! :)
Philo-B!
One set of question for PB coming up!!
Ty ty
So..I am in the bottom of the pile--I guess you have been inundated with requests na..serves me right for being so indecisive! Hehe. If you are still game (and not just in being such a pro-scrabbler), I'm game, too---so..DYARARAAN...interview me, please? ;) gypsygirl@bluebottle.com
By the way, quirky is good. :)
Awww ... okay ... you're in line. lol
I know, quirky is usually but not always good. :)
Wait your Qs ha.
nice to know more about you. =) this is very interesting. i guess i want to be interviewed as well.
Amgine!
I wanna know more about you too. So I WILL interview you. (Just be patient ha?) TY
Yehey! I only have four more sets of questions to go!
Chateau
Gypsy
Teacher Julie
Amgine!
Then I can go my usual bloghopping way.
There's a fifth -- for PHILOSOPHICAL BASTARD.
Thank you thank you all for the privilege and fun. (and exciting stress na din LOL JOKE)
I still want to. Ask those 'biting' questions ;-)
Diogenes!
Great! Then I'll make the questions sting and bite. Joke. Ok ... wait ha?
Hi Anna. I enjoyed reading your answers.
Oh my, 213 points! Didn't know it was possible to get such a high one time score.
It would be nice if everyone can concoct a potion to heal bodily aches and pains, remove scars and blemishes, etc. But I guess there's a hidden danger in that.
Enjoy the long weekend!
dear annamanila,
puede bang isa pa?
alam kong masyadong maraming gustong humingi ng interview sayo...
alam ko gusto mo nang bumalik sa blogging routine mo...
pero...
puede bang ako rin?
it would be an honor to be interviewed by you.
~chesca
Cheska (exskindiver)!
Awww! For you I will extend this fun meme (sort of).
Sige brace yourself. Joke.
Actually getting the hang of it -- in a fashion. :)
Rach!
Thank you .... in a while I can bloghop and see your own answers to whoever asked you -- si Noemi ba?
Wow ... are we going to have a long weekend? Are we off on Monday. Sana.
Have a good one yourself too.

What took you so long to ask? hehe Oks ... one set of Qs coming up for Mari.
This is a very late request. please do interview me anna. I envied the others. hehe
my email is lazarus_x2006@yahoo.com.ph
Lazarus!
Ok! I can now ask questions with my eyes closed. Got used to it. hehe.
Wait a few okay. will post in your sie.
Hi. I was so intrigued by your 'interview' with the fencesitter that I clicked on your link and eureka, you really were interviewing people.
I'd like to know if you can fit me in your seemingly busy sched and, erm, interview me as well. :)
Tomatomaria!
I luv your name .. almost like annabanana which a friend likes to call me.
Of course, I will interview you!
Wait lang ha?
Tomato Maria!
I tried to post this in your site .. but I have to register with Vox? I didnt know that I should .... so i am just posting my response and your interview questions here:
Serendipity is being asked by an unknown blogger to interview her and in the process being led to a site and archive so chockful of beauty and angst.
TY ... so proud pinay bloggers can be so SPLENDID.
Anyway here are your Qs ... hope they're worthy of you.
1. You lead a parade ... you are the emperor. Willl an innocent child rave about your new clothes?
2. Have you ever genuflected or otherwise showed reverence at the end of reading a "divine" book? How?
3. Your are commissioned to write a book on any subject of choice and will be given a handsome mobilization fee. The only requirement is for you to submit for approval the first and last sentences of the yet to be written manuscript. What will these be?
4. Can you fall in love with some one almsot perfect -- goodlooking, kind, intelligent, with great sense of humor -- but doesn't read books?
5. A law is passed that everyone over 20 write their epitaph. What will yours be?
Hi. I was just passing by and, quite frankly, I'm interested in being interviewed. I hope you find the time.
Btw, I'll link you, okay?
So that's what 'interview me' has led me to -- new finds -- in blogs sites, prospective new buddies, links. And most of them are hmmmm i can't find the right word ... esoteric? :) I can say this because I have been to your dig. Will go back.
Wait a few okay? I think after I am done asking, I should thank you. But not yet.
Done with my answers. Thank you for taking the time!
Thank you so much. I'll be answering your questions in a few as I am thinking deeply about the answers.
Keep up the writing. And if you'd need an editor, drop me a line. :)
Lazarus!
Yup, i have been to your post. Superb A's to superb Q's. :) joke
Thelastgriffin!
Please alert me when you have posted your A's. Am sure they will be very interesting.
Sometimes i feel my blogroll can hardly stand anymore expansion but i can't resist linking with the last griffin. Will do, with pleasure.
Hello annamanila :)
I'm just dropping by to say that I really, really enjoyed reading your interview questions and the bloggers'answers. I suppose I am too late to ask for one, which is actually fine because I'm a bit scared of having to put myself in such spotlight, he he. But I had a good time lurking around, so thanks! ;)
Zarine!
Actually one more set of Qs won't hurt me. But if it would you .. then forget it.
Thanks for lurking and delurking. I like the word/s .. sounds dangerous. hehe
In that case, Ma'am, I'd gladly take the challenge. Will be more than happy to.
My e-mail is z4rine@gmail.com.
I'm no fan of danger but one look at your side bar made me an instant fan of your blog. Love the wisdom here. :)
Atta girl! Let's make this a good one ha? okay
Will deliver your set of Qs within 24 hours. :)
I think you're the third reader to remark on my sidebar. I didn't know it was remarkable. Will try to update it. Ty ty
Thank you for taking the time to give me the questions. I have answered them in my site.
If ever anyone will ask for me to interview them, I'll try to be as probing (for lack of a better word) as you were. :)
Annamanila! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to give you a heads-up when I posted my answers...
In any case, you're good, you. Hehehe. :)
